During the last few years, we have invested a large amount in our innovations for the offshore industry. Our Red Zone Monitoring solution plays a major role in this. Red Zone Monitoring combines all aspects of our renewed strategy. It is a high-tech service, which includes cameras, sensor data, and artificial intelligence to increase people’s safety during offshore operations.
Investments in other innovations become more and more successful as well. An increasing share of our revenue is generated by these new solutions. Also, they generate exposure and gain interest from end-users. Only during the last months, we have been requested to present our innovations during industry conferences in Barcelona, Dubai and San Francisco.
The improving outlook for the global offshore industry positively impacts our growth. Even though many drilling rigs have been stacked over the last few years, they are now being upgraded again to be put back to work. Amongst other solutions, we provide custom engineered CCTV systems to these platforms.
This is in large contrast to the last three years Drilling contractors preferred to minimize expenditures by cannibalizing their stacked rigs for maintenance of the operational ones. Conversely, drilling contractors win now more and longer contracts and they are again more focused on improving their rig fleet and doing the necessary investments.
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) will take place in Houston from May 6 to 9. This is one of the most prominent offshore conferences and exhibitions in the world. Over 60.000 professionals from 100 different countries will visit the conference. This year Rolloos will again exhibit in the main venue. Within our booth 1318, we will focus on our Red Zone Monitoring solution.
