This year's OTC exhibition in Houston was way more successful for us than last year. Compared to last year, we had a 55% growth of people visiting the booth to discuss our solutions. This showed us that the efforts we have put in advancing our portfolio is paying off.
LESS VISITORS, MORE POSITIVE MINDSET
Compared to two years ago, the offshore industry operates within a new reality. Oil price is lower, budgets are tighter and projects are fewer. Nevertheless, the fact that we are two years on the road made us all more comfortable with accepting that we have to operate within this new reality. Which is fine, as it creates a new perspective.
Although slightly reduced in numbers OTC visitors were sending out a much more positive message. Conversations were about automating processes using video analytics, instead of a project were being cancelled. Managers and engineers were actively looking for solutions to improve their efficiency, which were 'nice to haves' before. Improving performance with fewer resources!
